Committment Check

This morning at around 4:30 A.M. I had a serious committment check.

I was driving to work, with a dead tired zombie brain with dead tired zombie logic.

I was doubting everything. My committment to this, wanting to just stay home and work on my new home, spend time with my honey, not spend every extra penny I have on my competition look.

I can't even read others' successes right now, it only discourages my own drive... for whatever reason. I really just need some sleep. And a workout. And all of my things in one home. But would still welcome any encouragement. Anyone? :)

  1. Oh sweetie these are such common feelings! Listen, I am a wife to a cop who works at night, so I NEVER see him. I have three little boys at home. I work full time. I'm in the Air National Guard part time. I go to school full time. AND I'm in contest prep. So if there's anyone who understands about wanting to do something other than prepare meals and spend money on this stuff it's me! It's a huge commitment and it is expensive. You are so right though, sleep is a big priority! Just remember, we can do a lot more than what we think we can. Our bodies are capable of so much more. Also listen to your body, if you're tired, sleep. Working out when you're tired is tough enough! Hope you have a good weekend and get some time to rest and revamp. You got this!!

  2. I can't say that I've been in the same position as you (yet), but I do know that feeling of "commitment check". Just know that you aren't alone and you CAN do this. Take a little break and come back fresh :) We'll all still be here!

  3. My advice: take some time for yourself, lady!
I have recently been going on more dates with my hubs (and sometimes forgoing yoga class to do so), and it's worth it! All in all, just be sure you're doing crazy time commitment things (like lots of yoga, or workouts, or whatever) for the right reasons. And don't feel bad if you have to readjust your plans if you find that it's too hard to keep up.

You deserve rest, good sleep, and sanity. :)

  4. I can definitely say I completely understand. Some days are much harder than others, and it's okay to let yourself 'slack' every now and again. You have so much going on in your life right now, so take a little time to enjoy the little successes, like making it to the gym (even if you really didn't want to and didn't stay as long as you think you should), and getting all your boxes into your new house (even if they aren't unpacked yet). You are an amazing woman and I am continually blown away by all that you do and make time for. So, now take a little time for yourself, even if it's just the weekend to get moved into the house and to sleep in Saturday, Sunday, or even both days! Like all stress, this too shall pass, but in the meantime, keep in mind, you are a real-life Superwoman!!

  5. We all doubt ourselves at one point. But think of how hard you have worked to get where you are and what kept pushing you!!!

I am sure you are pretty tired with all this moving. Sleep a couple of days to get back on track. Have a massage and if this doesn't help well I can come kick you but!!! loll ;-)
